We pulled up to the "secret spot" around 9:00 am. Brian brought about 35 large mosquito fish and two tilapia. I grabbed the dip net and thrashed the water into a foam as Brian rigged the live bait. (Splashing and commotion seems to attract the peacock bass). First cast... HOOK UP.
And so it went for about 2 hours till we ran out of bait... fish after fish after fish... the school just hung around the back of the boat - just looking up at us - waiting for a hand out... even though there was a "hook attached" to it. LOL
An exciting morning with lots of peacock bass action... all the fish were around 2 pounds... a few smaller, some larger. Naturally it was those 10 pounders that broke Brians line. LOL.
Remember... we were fishing at a "secret spot"... don't tell anyone.
The "Secret Spot"...
Brian with two peacock bass... this was about the average size... a little over 2 pounds. Good fun on light spinning tackle.
Stan with first fish of the day...

Re: Blue Boat Point
Thanks for the report, Stan. Wish I could go but had a knee replacement done about a month ago, so out of action for awhile. Save some for me. LOL
