Lots of people on the lake... the bass club was holding a tournament and the parking lot was packed... when I ask around from boat to boat the report was "slow", "not much actions", "saw some spawning peacock bass"... But everyone was happy the lake was open again and it was nice to be back on the water.

Glen and I worked the shoreline from Blue Boat Pt up to Tuke Bay and had a hard time getting the Red Devils to take our flys. They would follow and turn away, or just run away to deep water when they saw the fly. At 1:20 we decided to move to another spot and the motor would not start. So we hoped the trolling motor had enough charge and left for the boat ramp. We arrived at 3:25 with about ¼ battery charge to spare. LOL. Along the way we caught some peacock bass and a few Red Devils... the last peacock bass near the bridge.
Over all, I would call it "Slow Fishing"... Spoke with a fly fisherman on a stand up paddle board and she said the action usually picks up in the evening.
It was good to be out fishing again.
Even saw a Mommy duck and her 3 babies.

Leaving the boat ramp and headed toward the dam.

I finally landed a RD. Note that we are practicing Social spacing and wearing our protective "Sun Gloves". LOL

The cove on the right, just before the bridge... That fallen tree with all the green ribbon in the branches. Now don't tell anybody.

"Why let the truth stand in the way of a good fish story?"
