I fished the lake from 07:30 to about 11:00. Water was low and the normal green color. The sky was clear and the wind was from the ne at 0 to 5 mph. It was warm for this time of the year. There was some surface feeding, but only small fish. The bust tapered off later in the morning. I caught 23 tucs, 2 lm bass, and 2 devils. The tucs averaged about 8 inches, very small. I did catch one about 2 pounds and I missed a few medium size fish. One bass was about 2.5 plus, was long but on the skinny side. The adults were scarce. There were some pairs and 75% of the adults had lumps on their head. The quality of fishing has gone down hill ever since the dnlr started draining the lake. Next trip maybe I will focus on trying to find the bigger fish before they all start spawning.
