Last Day of the Year for Filthyfishermen Bait Co ended on a Great Note!!!!! Marcus and I went out and figured something out on a tough day,,, and ended up with 8 LM Bass fishing from 1- 4pm. Sunny, OvrCast, Level 15ft below C&R tag, Wind N 4mph, WT 72-74 stained 1-1.5ft,,,, we started out flipping and spinnerbaiting, cranking, not much happening,,, went to spooning with a 2" 1/2oz silver spoon and just powered areas were the shad are.... Work it a lot.... All over... When schooling appers, cast to it,,, See some bait fish running around cast at them. Hooked up with nice LM's.... Marcus Threw on A Good Old Trusty FilthyFishermen KONA MINNOW in Champange color!!! Matching thos shad really well... He was hooking up jerking it... Couple good LM in 2 plus range... Then he was dead sticking it when the action was dead,,, It seemed to really produce well.... The Suspending fish that was being tracked all last week in the 25ft range seem to move up the the 5-10ft range now!!!! Marcus has the only KONA Minnows left!! But these lures work perfectly in that strike range!!! Iam going to Juice them up a bit this week to ReallY Match those Shad!!!!! Very Silvery color needed!!
Hawaii Bassmasters is set for January 27th!!! OPEN TO EVERYONE!!! 7:30 meeting,, tourney runs 8am to 3pm,, weigh in at kemmo island... 4 fish Largemouth or Smallmouth.. Fishing Rules we are going to follow Title 13, Chapter 62, Fishing Regulations in acordance to Hawaii DLNR rules for Wilson,, and follow TBF rules for the tourney.... Artificals, one rod at time.. no trolling, 4 fish only in livewell.. Must cull..... Co Anglers are welcome,, but needs to find a boater that will take you... Seperate cooler needed,,, We are going to run some test to see how it works.. stay tuned..
