Advice Wanted - Lake Wilson with Boys Scouts Saturday, January 14th

We're taking our Boy Scout troop to Lake Wilson to fish on Saturday morning. We've never been fishing there so I was hoping I might get some advice on how to best proceed. We will be fishing from shore.
